2010 Symposium on Health Disparities Welcomes Internationally Recognized Public Health & Health Law Experts
DC City Councilmember David Catania will deliver keynote address

WASHINGTON, DC, February 16, 2010 – American University Washington College of Law will host the “2010 Symposium on Health Disparities” on Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2010.
The symposium includes panel discussions with experts in public health, civil rights, health law, disability law, international law, and other pertinent areas. Panels will tackle racial disparities, federal and state perspectives, health disparities for the aging and disabled, and international health disparities.
The program’s keynote speaker is David Catania, DC City Councilmember and prominent local voice on matters of health care access and affordability.
The symposium is presented by Health Law and Policy, Program on Law and Government, the Health Law and Policy Brief, the Health Law and Justice Initiative, and the Latino/a Law Students Association.
