Two Students Named 2017 Association of Corporate Counsel Scholars
The Association of Corporate Counsel for the National Capital Region has named two members of the AUWCL Class of 2018 to its Corporate Scholars Class of 2017. Michelle Emokpae and Joshua Morris were among the 12 area law students chosen as scholars this year. As part of the program, the Corporate Scholars receive summer internships in the legal departments of prestigious local companies and organizations that are members of the Association of Corporate Counsel. Through these internships, the students experience the full range of corporate practice areas and legal advocacy that in-house counsel handle, while gaining valuable insights into the relationship between providing business and legal advice to clients.
Michelle, who is a JD/MBA dual degree student at American University, is completing her internship with Optoro, Inc., and Joshua, is working this summer at Sodexo, Inc.
