Lindsay Wiley and Claudio GrossmanAUWCL Enters Partnership with D.C. Department of Health

American University Washington College of Law has entered into a collaboration with the District of Columbia Department of Health to develop research and experiential education opportunities for students to work on cutting edge health law issues, such as pharmacy scope of practice, telemedicine, and strategies for reducing infant mortality in the District.

"We're very excited to be engaging with some of the most pressing health issues facing the District of Columbia," said Professor Lindsay Wiley. "The intersection of health law and administrative law is rapidly transforming, creating important opportunities for research, policy development and assessment, regulatory drafting, and experiential education. Our approach to these issues is highly interdisciplinary, with legal experts working collaboratively alongside health sciences and policy experts. Students and faculty at American benefit from our Washington, D.C. location in so many ways -- there are few places in the world that offer these kinds of opportunities to work on cutting-edge issues at the international, federal, state, and local level."
