Steven Ragland '02 Named California Lawyer of the Year

 

WASHINGTON, D.C., April 3, 2017 – American University Washington College of Law (AUWCL) is proud to congratulate Steven P. Ragland, partner at Keker, Van Nest & Peters, on being named California Lawyer of the Year (CLAY) by The Daily Journal and callawyer.com. 

From the release: "Attorneys receiving this year’s CLAY honor dazzled in the courtroom and in the boardroom, setting a standard for excellence to which all litigators and corporate lawyers should aspire. Their work garnered headlines for the innovativeness and impact." 

Ragland's firm, Keker, Van Nest & Peters, was recognized for intellectual property trial wins on cases Oracle v. Google and Cisco v. Arista.

Ragland graduated summa cum laude from AUWCL in 2002. He was a Mussey-Gillette fellow and senior articles editor of the American University Law Review.
